Details Work in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a Women's and Children's building Patient ratio of 1:2 Unit staffed with RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs Documentation systems used include CPN and Meditech Procedures performed on the unit include vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor Schedule consists of 3 12-hour shifts with 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift required per scheduling period Travelers are required to float first per unit policy Unit emphasizes shared decision making in patient experience Requirements Active RN license (TN or Compact) required 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced) or CEFM Skilled in care of the laboring patient and immediate newborn care Experience circulating and recovering C-section patients required US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted) No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients including delivery support and immediate newborn care Circulate and recover cesarean section patients as part of unit responsibilities Scrub colors required are Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray; scrubs are not provided by the facility Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-749529.
