This upcoming school year placement offers full-time hours from August through June, with the flexibility to tailor your caseload preference. The majority of openings are in the eastern and southern areas of the district, providing an excellent chance to collaborate with supportive educators and staff.

Bring your expertise in helping students reach their communication goals, working with a diverse population including those with autism and low cognitive disabilities. Clinical Fellow applicants are welcome—comprehensive district supervision is available to set you up for success. While SLP-As aren’t currently accepted, enthusiastic professionals eager to make a difference are encouraged to apply.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold current North Carolina speech-language pathology licensure
• SLP-CCC or SLP-CF credentials (district supervision provided for Clinical Fellows)
• Previous experience in school-based settings is strongly preferred
• Background supporting students with autism spectrum disorder and low cognitive disabilities is ideal
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to students per IEP recommendations
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reporting
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Manage a caseload of up to 35 students, with preference and specifics discussed during interview
