Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects located in or around Grand Rapids, MI. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a HVAC Duct Installer and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

Install and assemble rectangular HVAC sheet metal ductwork
Measure, mark, and cut duct sections to required dimensions
Drill holes in sheet metal and prepare components for installation
Fasten seams and joints together using screws and approved fastening methods
Install and secure duct systems according to project specifications
Perform additional sheet metal duties as directed
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of sheet metal or HVAC duct installation experience
Apprentice and Journeyman-level candidates encouraged to apply
Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble ductwork
Experience using hand and power tools
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
No certifications required
