Positions in this function performs a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the standards of the practice. Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, casting and wound care, etc. Assist physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc. Prepare treatment rooms. Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions. Perform related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information.

Position Details:

• Primary Location: 5 Neponset St. Worcester

  • Secondary Location:  64 Boyden Rd, Holden- as needed for coverage

     

• Department: Podiatry- Rheumatology/ Dermatology 
• Schedule: Full time, 38.75 hours/weekly, Monday through Friday, scheduling between 7:30AM - 5:00PM

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities: 

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments
• Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs

• Document patient care using electronic medical record software

   

• Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations
• Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing

Required Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

   

• 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a medical assistant after on-the-job training

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or you must be willing to attain that certification within 180 days of start date
• Proven organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of office and laboratory procedures

• Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, etc.

   

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 to $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
