Travel Physical Therapist Assistant - Long Term Care - $1,610 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify care as necessary. You will assist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, ensuring optimal physical rehabilitation. Responsibilities Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups. Read and follow instructions from the Physical Therapist. Work directly with the Physical Therapist to assist patients. Communicate effectively with families to identify the best at‑home techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of physical therapy areas. Assist in moving patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area. Complete necessary administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork. Teach patients techniques for balance training and other therapeutic exercises. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - REQUIRED Experience in Long‑Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) - REQUIRED Active PTA license - REQUIRED Current BLS certification (AHA) - must be active at the time of start. Must hold an active PTA license in the state of Ohio or a compact license at time of submission. Schedule This is a day shift position, working 8 hours a day for a total of 40 hours per week.
