Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention throughout the labor and delivery process
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and assessment, recognizing and responding to signs of fetal distress
• Manage and respond to obstetric emergencies including postpartum hemorrhage, umbilical cord prolapse, placental abruption, and preeclampsia
• Deliver postpartum care and float to postpartum unit as needed
• Accurately document patient care using Centricity and Meditech EHR systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams while maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio in a 9-bed unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current ACLS or ALS-OB certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech electronic health record systems
• Familiarity with common obstetric diagnoses including preterm labor, gestational hypertension, placenta previa, and fetal distress
• Demonstrated adaptability, strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment
