Detox Unit Registered Nurse - Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour day shifts, with every other weekend required.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Detox Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients aged 18 and older who are undergoing detoxification. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to assess and manage the detox symptoms of patients while ensuring their safety and comfort during their stay.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of detox symptoms.
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications as required.
• Perform phlebotomy and obtain EKGs as needed.
• Collaborate with the nursing team and support staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in safety checks, room checks, and rounding every 15 minutes.
• Assist in patient activities of daily living (ADLs).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PALS is preferred for floating.
• De-escalation training certification (e.g., Handle with Care, CPI, or similar) required before starting.
• Experience in MedSurg nursing is essential; prior psych experience is preferred.
• Must have phlebotomy skills and experience in obtaining EKGs.
