Clinical Research Clinician, Associate Director

Pfizer seeks a Clinical Research Clinician to serve as Investigator and Principal Investigator for clinical trials at the Pfizer Clinical Research Unit in Connecticut. The role involves overseeing trial conduct, ensuring participant safety, managing data integrity, and providing 24/7 medical coverage.

Responsibilities

Serve as Investigator or Principal Investigator for Phase I–IV clinical trials with full accountability for medical oversight and scientific integrity
Coordinate protocol development, regulatory submissions, and conduct of early and full development clinical pharmacology studies
Review and code adverse events, concomitant medications, laboratory data, and vital signs to identify safety trends and abnormalities
Obtain informed consent, perform physical assessments, review lab results, and evaluate participant inclusion/exclusion criteria
Provide on-call medical and clinical coverage 24/7 to support trial conduct and participant safety

Requirements

Advanced practitioner degree (APRN) required
Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain one
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years clinical experience
Knowledge of FDA drug development process preferred
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to influence peers and develop others
