Certified Athletic Trainer
Location: Geneva & Dundee, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays


Pay Rate: $58.50/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training coverage and support for local high schools, primarily in Geneva and Dundee, with occasional coverage in Penn Yan/Mynderse. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with athletes, coaches, physicians, and school staff to prevent, evaluate, and manage athletic injuries.
Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training coverage for high school practices and sporting events.
• Evaluate and manage athletic injuries under physician supervision.
• Provide injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning services.
• Apply taping, wraps, braces, and other preventative/supportive devices.
• Assist athletes with injury recovery and return-to-play activities.
• Educate athletes, coaches, parents, and school staff on injury prevention, CPR, recognition, and treatment.
• Provide coverage for varsity and select non-varsity home contests based on school needs.
• Assist physicians and physical therapists with patient care, including bracing and splinting.
• Maintain athletic training equipment and supplies.
• Participate in workshops and community education as needed.
• Promote the athletic training program within the school and medical community.

Requirements

• NATABOC/BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
• Current BLS Certification
• Must be 21 years of age or older per NYS regulations.
• High school athletic training experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a high school or physician practice setting preferred.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Occasional Saturdays
• Schedule will vary based on athletic practices and sporting events.
