Personal Care Assistant (PCA) - Tolland, CT

At Right at Home Tolland, we're dedicated to providing exceptional in-home care and assistance to seniors and vulnerable adults in their own homes. As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you'll play a vital role in our team, delivering compassionate and personalized care to our clients.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a compassionate and patient-focused PCA to join our team. As a PCA, you'll provide essential personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities, companion care, and light housekeeping. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of dignity and respect in care delivery, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Help with daily living activities, such as using the bathroom, eating, and medication reminders
• Offer companionship and social support to clients
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Engage in conversation, play games, or watch TV with clients to promote socialization and mental stimulation
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress

Requirements:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care delivery
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver's license (not required, but a plus)

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• At least 6 months experience
