Role Description The Seasonal Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Irving, TX. In this position, the associate supports customers on the sales floor by providing product information, recommending solutions that fit their needs, and delivering a friendly, efficient checkout experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining store standards, stocking and organizing merchandise, assisting with visual displays, and helping with inventory tasks such as receiving shipments and conducting counts. The role also involves learning Timberland’s product features and brand story, following all store policies and procedures, and collaborating with team members to meet sales and customer service goals. Seasonal Sales Associates may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Qualifications Customer service and sales skills, including active listening, problem-solving, and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of shoppers. Retail operations capabilities such as point-of-sale (POS) use, cash handling, inventory support, and adherence to store policies and loss-prevention guidelines. Communication and teamwork skills, including clear verbal communication, positive interpersonal interaction, and willingness to collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Physical and organizational abilities, such as standing for extended periods, lifting and moving merchandise, and maintaining a clean, well-organized sales floor. Interest in outdoor, active lifestyles and footwear/apparel products, with a willingness to learn Timberland’s brand values and product features. Previous retail or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
