staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - Transport - $55 per hour

Summary The RN, Transport will function as a team member while upholding the mission, vision and values of Cook Children's Health Care System. This person will work in collaboration with RTs and Paramedics, in providing care to the neonatal and pediatric population in all modes of transport, including ground ambulance, rotor‑wing and fixed‑wing aircraft. The RN, Transport must possess critical thinking skills and practice sound judgment throughout the transport process in varied settings. They must be self‑motivated and demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. Position Details Specialty: Transport Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Standard Weekly Hours: 36 Shift: 7 p – 7 a (Third Shift) Employment Type: Staff Location: Meacham Airport, Fort Worth, TX Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Minimum 3 years recent neonatal and/or pediatric ICU and/or pediatric emergency department experience, or current neonatal/pediatric transport experience. Certification/Licensure Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. Current CPR certification. Current PALS or obtain within 6 months of hire. Current NRP or obtain within 6 months of hire. Current ACLS or obtain within 6 months of hire. Current TNCC or department approved equivalent, or obtain within 12 months of hire. Current STABLE or obtain within 6 months of hire. Current EMT or paramedic license in the State of Texas or obtain within 12 months of hire. Current advanced certification (in area of practice and/or as approved by CCMC) or obtain within 24 months of hire.
