ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, manage complex clinical situations, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU/CCU setting, ensuring safety and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications, including pressors and cardiac drips, and manage ventilator/BiPAP support.
• Perform various bedside procedures, including chest tube placement, intubation, line placement, and cardioversions, with appropriate sedation as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to similar units as necessary to meet facility needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU/CCU setting.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS is required.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes 36 guaranteed hours, comprising 3 twelve-hour shifts (1800-0630), with a minimum requirement of three weekends within a six-week period.
• Willingness to participate in holiday rotations, generally covering three of the six major holidays.

Work Environment

The position requires a strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while delivering compassionate care to patients with complex medical needs.

Professional Appearance

Scrub color is flexible; however, all staff are expected to maintain a professional appearance.

Charting System

Documentation will be completed using the Meditech charting system.

Parking

Parking at the facility is complimentary for all staff.
