Wound Care Biller

About the Role:

Pioneer Diagnostics And Research Co is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Biller to join our dynamic team in Naperville, IL. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes for our wound care services, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify wound care billing documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims.

Communicate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for billing.

Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries in a timely manner.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and regulations related to wound care.

Prepare and analyze billing reports to identify trends and improve processes.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with billing standards.

Assist in training new staff on billing procedures and software.

Requirements:

Proven experience in medical billing, preferably in wound care or related fields.

Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and insurance claim processes.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records (EHR).

Certification in medical billing and coding (CPC or CCS) is a plus.

Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
