Position Summary Job Details: Location: Main Hospital - Parker, AZ 85344 | Position Type: Full Time | Salary: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour | Shift: Day Plant Operations Engineer II at La Paz Regional Hospital & Clinics plays a key role helping our department meet its daily goals. The Engineer will apply expertise to support daily projects and ensure quality standards are met. This position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, effective problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Plant Ops team. Core Functions Perform daily tasks such as documentation of readings on equipment, plumbing, electrical, changing air filters, belts, cleaning coils on HVAC units, painting, and drywall repairs. Conduct technical analysis and testing of electrical systems and components, evaluating performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary modifications. Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and user manuals, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company standards. Identify technical issues and provide solutions by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions; support troubleshooting efforts and provide technical guidance as needed. Monitor and ensure that engineering processes and outputs meet quality standards; participate in quality reviews and audits to maintain compliance with industry regulations. Work closely with other engineers and the Director on jobs to be performed, share knowledge, achieve project goals, actively participate in team meetings, and provide updates on project progress. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies; contribute to process improvements and recommend enhancements to existing systems and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent two‑year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One or more certifications in HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing. Must be able to read blueprints if needed. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information to non‑technical employees. Good values and personal skills, cooperative with others, ability to work with staff and patients. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; leadership and mentoring skills are a plus. May be required to hold a valid driver’s license and be eligible for company auto insurance policy; may be required to drive to other facilities. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
