The starting pay range for this position per hour is $23.50 - $25.50. The full pay range for this position per hour is $23.50 - $39.95. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and may include education, work experience and certifications. Responsibilities Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greet guests within 10ft with a friendly smile, make eye contact or wave, greet within 4ft with a warm, helpful interaction. Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience. End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you. Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience. Support total store sales, guest service and increase profitability by ensuring products are in stock and available by preventing and resolving theft. Resolve theft by using judgment and conducting apprehensions in shortage focus areas while strictly adhering to AP policies and procedures. Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, reporting and surveillance tactics. Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues. Understand and appropriately use video systems to monitor theft activity. Respond to security incidents and submit appropriate documentation following AP policy and procedures. Promote a physical security and safety culture for team members and guests by creating awareness and training safe and secure standards throughout the building. Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences. Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. Maintain positive relationships with public safety officials and law enforcement. Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to represent Target’s interests. Perform all other duties based on business needs. Qualifications Minimum age 18 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position. Willingness to work a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times). Ability to witness interactions with guests and fellow team members in a fast‑moving, highly active and physically demanding role. Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members. Effective communication skills on multiple frequency devices and ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed. Ability to work independently and with a team, manage workload and prioritize tasks independently. Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Climb up and down ladders. Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy. Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 40 pounds without assistance. Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift, which may vary in length. Capability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties.
