About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Advancement Services to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the infrastructure, systems, data governance, analytics, and operational teams that support a high-performing, donor-centered, and data-driven advancement program. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading a comprehensive advancement services strategy that aligns with institutional priorities and fundraising goals. This role involves leading a multi-functional team, including advancement communications, stewardship, operations, data systems, direct response programs, and events. The Executive Director will also be tasked with ensuring the delivery of a cohesive, high-quality, and donor-centered experience, as well as championing the use of data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive performance. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a strong understanding of fundraising metrics, campaign operations, and donor lifecycle management. The role requires the ability to lead organizational change initiatives, technology implementations, and process transformation efforts. A deep understanding of advancement operations, including CRM systems, data governance, and donor engagement practices, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 8 years' leadership experience in advancement services or related nonprofit management functions. Experience in healthcare, higher education, or a large nonprofit organization is also preferred, along with a background in using enterprise-wide software such as Blackbaud. The Executive Director must demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
