Responsibilities include: Operate electric lift trucks safely throughout the warehouse Perform daily OSHA lift truck inspections and complete required documentation Safely charge and refuel lift trucks and yard trucks Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility Follow designated forklift traffic lanes and warehouse safety procedures Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts Operate the palletizer Perform product quality inspections Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Complete shipping and receiving paperwork including Bills of Lading, Shipping Orders, Packing Slips, and Invoices Support warehouse operations and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications We're looking for dependable individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred qualifications include: Ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator certification Experience operating electric forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred Manufacturing, warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, distribution, or production experience is a plus Ability to read and understand shipping documents, work instructions, and inventory paperwork Strong attention to safety and quality Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Why Silgan At Silgan Closures, we don't just offer jobs— we offer careers.
