Job Description Metro is seeking motivated, compassionate, and skilled FULL TIME Physical Therapist Assistants to help patients reach their goals through personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Actively participate in patient care, notifying the supervising Physical Therapist of matters concerning the patient’s condition. Follow the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist and practice within state practice guidelines. Exercise sound judgement, care, professionalism, and skill in the performance of duties. Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises and recovery. Identify patient needs and exhibit compassion and caring. Convey potential modifications ensuring patient progress, safety, and comfort to the Physical Therapist. Complete documentation in the EMR to support the delivery of physical therapy services. Record daily notes under direct supervision of and with co‑signature by a PT. Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests. Help treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, assisting onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by PT. Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Enhance the physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value; be a team player. Report any issues needing resolution to Physical Therapists. Hands‑on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities. Ability to communicate and instruct effectively. Ability to delegate appropriate support care to non‑licensed staff and serve as a resource in their training. Additional Information The anticipated hourly range for this position is $31‑$40. Hourly range is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications, and geography. This position is eligible for incentive compensation; the company’s incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
