Sales & Marketing Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator supports the Director of Sales & Marketing with event coordination, client and vendor communication, marketing initiatives, social media, and day-to-day administrative needs. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, communicative, creative, personable, and interested in hospitality, events, marketing, and entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate enjoys working across departments, interacting with clients and vendors, creating content, and seeing projects through from concept to completion. This role offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth, increased responsibility, and advancement within sales, marketing, and hospitality.

Duties:

• Create, capture, edit, and publish photo and video content for Instagram, Facebook, newsletters, and other marketing channels.

• Maintain a consistent La Tourelle brand presence across digital and print marketing, reflecting the property, guest experience, weddings, events, and food & beverage offerings.

• Plan and coordinate content, newsletters, seasonal guides, and promotional campaigns in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing.

• Create and promote social media events and support promotion of La Tourelle events, programs, and initiatives across appropriate channels.

• Track and analyze promotional performance and provide relevant updates to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

• Create and maintain marketing collateral, brochures, signage, campus programming materials, and other promotional assets.

• Research and develop prospects for group and event business, including associations, conferences, businesses, organizations, and networking opportunities.

• Maintain prospect and client contact databases and organized sales files.

• Track sales follow-ups, deposits, deadlines, and other client details.

• Prepare event spaces and materials for client tours and assist with tour follow-up.

• Respond to routine client inquiries and coordinate communications with clients, vendors, and community partners from booking through post-event follow-up.

• Request post-event reviews and collect event imagery and photographer galleries for marketing use.

• Serve as an on-property point person for events, assisting with execution and providing hands-on support, including bartending as needed.

• Create event signage and manage event inventory, ensuring items are properly stored or returned to vendors or clients.

• Assist with campus and community initiatives, including efforts targeting Ithaca College and the surrounding community.

• Support the Director of Sales & Marketing with sales, marketing, event, and other property-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience or strong interest in hospitality, marketing, or events.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Creative eye with experience creating photo/video content; Canva preferred.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hospitality or event experience preferred; bartending strongly preferred.
• Proficient with technology and comfortable learning new software and systems.
• Available for occasional evening and weekend events.
