About the Opportunity:
The Spacecraft Mission Operations Engineer III supports the Elytra orbital vehicle program, focusing on the development, execution, and optimization of long‑duration spacecraft operations. This role is responsible for building operational frameworks, supporting mission execution, and ensuring scalable, reliable ground and flight operations.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and manage spacecraft ground systems, operational concepts, and interface documentation
- Lead development of flight operations products, including procedures, automation strategies, and command frameworks
- Oversee simulation campaigns, mission rehearsals, and operator training programs
- Support and lead spacecraft mission execution, anomaly response, and maneuver operations
- Collaborate with engineering, mission management, and payload teams to ensure safe and scalable operations
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of professional aerospace experience supporting spacecraft operations or mission lifecycle programs
- 3+ years of experience leading mission operations phases, campaigns, or long‑duration operations
- 3+ years of experience developing ground systems, simulation environments, or operational frameworks
- Experience working with mission data processing tools, automation, or spacecraft operations software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support cross‑functional technical teams and leadership
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience serving as Flight Director, Lead Mission Controller, or similar leadership role
- Experience supporting ground readiness testing and mission simulation campaigns
- Experience supporting classified or secure mission environments
- Active or prior U.S. Government security clearance
- Experience with cross‑domain systems and mission operations across secure environments
