We are currently looking for a Mill Machinist to join the highly successful team at our Trafalgar Rd, IOW branch.What you’ll be doing:Our Timber Mill Machinists are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time.Good grasp of Health & Safety requirements in an Operational environmentAwareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to machinery or mechanical handling equipment to be usedAwareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to working in a timber processing plant and timber storage and distribution siteAbility to carry out routine inspectionsAbility to understand, complete and maintain all documentation associated and required by the roleAbility to work as a team player within the timber processing plant and overall site operationOperating a variety of woodworking machinery such as; band resaw, planer/ thicknesser, Five headed moulder, Spindle moulder, Profile grinder, crosscut.Working across various tasks in the mill including quality control, stacking of machine timber and housekeeping.Adherence to EHS standards by ensuring; work area is kept tidy, work area is cleaned daily, machinery is rigorously maintainedWorking Hours:Monday to Friday 730am to 4:00pmWhat We’re Looking For:Enthusiasm - You radiate positivity and possess an unyielding passion for the merchant worldDecency - You embody honesty and integrity, contributing to a workplace built on respect and ethicsTeam Spirit - You thrive in collaborative settings, believing that together we can achieve greatnessPride - You take pride in your work and are dedicated to producing top-notch resultsExperience in a similar role is desirable but not essentialWhy Choose Us?Quality - We’re unwavering in our commitment to providing outstanding products and service that exceed our customers’ expectationsSupportive Environment - Join a culture that prioritises your growth, with the resources and support you need to excelProfessional Development - We are invested in your success!
