About the Role:
Rainbow Child Care Center & Preschool in Roseland, NJ is looking for a warm, nurturing Infant Caregiver/Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, loving daily care for infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing
• Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate developmental activities and lesson plans
• Monitor and document infant milestones, behaviors, and daily routines
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
• Communicate openly and professionally with parents and guardians during drop-off and pick-up
• Follow all childcare health, safety, and licensing regulations and protocols
• Foster social-emotional development through responsive, relationship-based caregiving

Requirements:

• Prior experience in infant care, early childhood education, or a childcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and best practices in early childhood
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to meet NJ childcare licensing requirements including background checks
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable with a genuine love for working with infants
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Child Development or ECE a plus
