Nocturnist - Physician
St. Elizabeth Healthcare
Position Overview St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a MD, DO with completion of advanced graduate medical education in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with board eligibility or board certification, to join our expanding hospital medicine team. The role covers 24/7 care for more than 500 acutely ill patients across four hospitals and involves a nightly shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. Responsibilities Initial assessment of hospitalist patients, including obtaining pertinent medical and non‑medical history. Performing physical examinations. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Prescribing pharmacologic therapies. Consulting with and collaborating for specialists. Executing complex medical decision‑making. Communicating with patient families. Performing procedural skills as necessary. Working collaboratively with the nocturnist APP team to facilitate admissions to med‑surg, TCU, and medical ICU units during evening hours.
