Occupational Therapist

Schedule: Days, 8 hours M-F, with flexible times communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Requirements: 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience is required. New graduates are acceptable as long as they have Level II experience. Long-term care or rehabilitation experience is required. Valid Occupational Therapy license is required.

Roles & Responsibilities: Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate plans of care in accordance with regulatory and clinical standards. Administer rehabilitation treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises. Assess patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary, documenting changes in clinical records. Collaborate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and other health team members regarding treatment plans and progress. Provide comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure accurate documentation of services in the electronic system. Supervise and support Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation aides as needed.

Compliance / Notes: Participation in required meetings, training sessions, and compliance with regulatory practices is expected. Adherence to professional standards and ethics in Occupational Therapy practice is required.
