Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in Renton, Washington. This role involves providing high-quality, culturally competent emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, Level 3 trauma setting. The ER team manages a variety of critical conditions, with a focus on trauma, stroke, cardiac emergencies, respiratory diseases, behavioral health, and other urgent care needs. Job Details: Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week, start date 08/31/2026. Required Qualifications: 2 years of emergency room experience, 1 year of trauma experience, prior travel experience, Current certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with EPIC electronic medical records, familiarity with rapid response equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen therapy. Specialized Skills and Requirements: Comfort in managing a highly diverse patient population, ability to handle critical cases like STEMI, stroke, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and respiratory emergencies. Certified in all required life support courses and experienced in providing culturally sensitive care. Additional Information: The unit features a separate triage area, rapid response protocols, and a dedicated psych/seclusion room with 24/7 monitoring. There is in-house security, a patient flow coordinator, and specialized ER staff including charge nurses, nurse aides, techs, and transport teams. Candidates must be flexible and adapt to variable report times in a busy ER environment.
