Purchasing Specialist
Location: Milford, CT
A small manufacturer in Milford is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to support daily procurement needs and keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials, components, and supplies for manufacturing operations
- Source items based on production needs
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control efforts
- Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and internal teams
- Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards
Qualifications:
- Prior purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with supplier management and inventory control
- Cost-conscious with sound decision-making skills
