Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

Provide respiratory care to patients as prescribed by physicians
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures
Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy
Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

Active Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
