About the Role Job title: Pellet Mill Operator Department: Mayzo Operations Center Reports to: Production Manager Type: Full Time (Mon‑Thurs 7am‑5pm, Fri 7am‑11am) Location: Walterboro, SC Position Summary Mayzo is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Pellet Mill Operator to support manufacturing operations at our Walterboro, SC facility. This role is responsible for operating pelletizing and production equipment, monitoring product quality, supporting material handling activities, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting with processing and packaging equipment. Key Responsibilities Production Operations Operate pellet mill and related processing equipment safely and efficiently Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and throughput Start up, shut down, and clean production equipment in accordance with SOPs Follow production schedules and batch instructions accurately Assist with packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished products Equipment & Troubleshooting Identify and report mechanical or operational issues promptly Perform basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments on production equipment Support preventative maintenance and housekeeping activities Maintain clean and organized work areas around production lines and equipment Material Handling Move raw materials and finished goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment Accurately complete production documentation and inventory transactions Ensure materials are staged properly for production runs Safety & Quality Follow all safety, PPE, environmental, and quality procedures Adhere to GMP and manufacturing standards Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain a strong attention to detail to ensure product consistency and quality Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous pellet mill experience required. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills strongly preferred Forklift experience preferred Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation Comfortable working around industrial processing equipment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods #J-18808-Ljbffr Mayzo
