We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and outgoing Shift Lead / Assistant Manager to lead our team and create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for customers and employees alike.

Responsibilities

Customer Experience

• Deliver outstanding customer service with a positive, friendly attitude.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and ensure every customer leaves happy.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently.

Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate team members during shifts.
• Set a positive example through attitude, work ethic, and professionalism.
• Assist with daily operations and ensure company standards are followed.

Training & Development

• Train and coach new employees on Scoops procedures, products, and customer service expectations.
• Provide ongoing support and feedback to team members.

Operations & Cash Management

• Open and close the store when scheduled.
• Manage cash handling, register accuracy, and daily deposits.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product organization.

Food Preparation

• Prepare and serve premium ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, sundaes, and other menu items.
• Maintain quality, presentation, and consistency standards.

Scheduling & Staffing

• Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage.
• Help ensure proper staffing levels during peak business hours.

Cleanliness & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and health standards are followed.

Qualifications

Personality & Customer Service

• Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality.
• Passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and lead a team.

Food Service Experience

• Experience in food service, hospitality, cooking, baking, or retail is a plus.
• Ice cream, dessert, coffee shop, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.

Organization & Reliability

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable handling cash, inventory, and basic administrative tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Teamwork

• Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
