Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical (Nursing)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and have prior experience in medical/surgical units, specifically with special care unit (SCU) and emergency department (ED) exposure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, syncope, non-STEMI, DKA, wound issues, THR, TKR, lumbar surgery, general surgery, and COVID-19.
Manage patient care efficiently, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 7:1, occasionally 8:1.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for accurate documentation and communication.
Participate in charge and supervisory responsibilities as required.
Foster a supportive environment for patients and their families.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting.
Experience in a special care unit (SCU) and emergency department (ED) is mandatory.
Charge and supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Travel experience is required.
BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.

Working Conditions

This position involves working the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.
No on-call duties are required.
