Role Overview: We are a family-owned business looking for an ambitious Crew Member to assist in the preparation of delicious deep dish, stuffed and thin crust pizza as well as hot dogs and sandwiches. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes, as well as helping keep the kitchen clean and orderly. A great Crew Member will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. You will perform many roles, including helping with cooking and dishes. Pay is based on experience. Previous experience is a plus! FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAYS are mandatory. Responsibilities: Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Using a dough roller to prepare thin, deep dish and stuffed pizzas (18+) Check oven to ensure pizza is properly cooked (18+) Ensure great presentation by cutting and preparing pizzas before they are served Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Help with dishes and cleaning of kitchen Assist Head Chef/Manager with other kitchen duties as requested Ideal Candidate: Proven experience as prep/sandwich/pizza cook Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils A team player with good communication skills Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure Good physical condition and endurance High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset Why work for us?
