About the Position

Job Title: RN II Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: - Critical care experience preferred License: - Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyzes assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of patients and staff. Receives all required vaccinations as a condition of employment. This unit provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for patients experiencing life-threatening conditions. This position supports a mix of medical, surgical, and cardiac intensive patients.
