Systems Engineering Lead

Position: Systems Engineering Lead (Job ID: 4231) Location: Wallops Island, VA Remote Status: On-Site # of Openings: 1 Contingent Upon Contract Award and Customer Approval. Hybrid capabilities available. Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year Purpose Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a full-time Systems Engineering Lead to oversee the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW), in Wallops Island, VA. Job Description Assists in various types of electronic systems such as C4I, Combat Systems, Communication Systems, etc. Duties include system design, integration, modification, testing, installation engineering, and design engineering, developing and reviewing equipment test plans and procedures, conducting analyses, analyzing test results, and recommending design changes to bring systems into compliance with design/performance specifications. Adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. Coordinates, computes, or synthesizes engineering or technical data. Uses prescribed mathematical formulae and/or models to calculate measures of performance characteristics for electronic systems. Supervises technical staff assigned to project. Duties include the training of project personnel in the procedures and approaches available for the work effort. Qualifications A Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree from an ABET accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, and at least years of demonstrated experience managing large projects including ability to plan, develop schedules, organize, and coordinate team members to accomplish assigned tasks. Security Requirements Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. Prefer an Active DoD Secret security clearance. Travel Requirements Occasional travel up to 25%. If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID ( Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
