Job Description
Med/Surg RN - Medical/Surgical

Schedule:
- Weekends required: Yes (5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Holiday requirement: Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required
- Compact state RN license must be in hand at submission
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Required charting system: Epic

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a medical/surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and manage post-operative care, including wound care and drainage management.
- Administer medications, including blood products, and manage intravenous therapy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans and facilitate patient recovery.
- Participate in telemetry monitoring and respond to rapid response and code situations.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Dress code: Solid navy blue uniforms/scrubs (print tops not acceptable except pediatric and unit-specific exceptions)
- Free parking available in employee/visitor surface lots
