Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care on a 17-bed Medical Surgical / Swing Bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients (18+, majority 65+)
• Manage PICC and central venous catheter (CVC) lines and perform wound care as part of routine patient management
• Maintain a maximum patient ratio of 1:6 while delivering observation, inpatient, and swing bed services
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and 24-hour provider coverage
• Utilize the Paragon electronic health record (EHR) system for documentation and care coordination
• Float as needed between facilities on Med-Surg or equivalent units

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact license eligibility)
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical or equivalent nursing experience
• Proficiency in PICC/CVC management and wound care
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a critical access hospital or small community hospital setting
• Familiarity with swing bed services and observation patient care
• Experience with the Paragon EHR system
• Comfort working in a high-teamwork, multi-role environment with rotating weekend shifts
