Perform advanced skilled trades work as needed, including troubleshooting and repairing complex issues in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or masonry systems. Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify needed repairs or improvements. Preferred Qualifications: NO LICENSE REQUIRED! This position is for a Supervisor in the Carpentry/Cabinet Shop at Arkansas Health Center. The perfect candidate will have extensive knowledge & hands-on experience in carpentry & cabinet building, experience reading blueprints, figuring material requirements & ordering carpenters/painters, as well as excellent computer skills. Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required. This position involves supervising and coordinating the work of skilled trades professionals in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, welding, and general facility maintenance. Strong knowledge of state and federal safety regulations, building codes, and OSHA standards.Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required, plus at least three (3) years of experience in one or more skilled trades.Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series.
