Activity Coordinator - Community Engagement Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm Are you someone who loves getting out and about, meeting new people, and making a positive impact every day? Do you enjoy planning fun activities, exploring your community, and helping others achieve their goals? If so, Shen-Paco Industries has the perfect opportunity for you! As a Community Engagement Activity Coordinator, you'll spend your days supporting three adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they participate in meaningful activities throughout the community, build friendships, volunteer, and develop greater independence. What You'll Be Doing Every day is a new adventure! You might be: Going bowling, miniature golfing, or to the movies Visiting coffee shops and local restaurants Shopping at local stores and farmers markets Exploring parks, walking trails, and community attractions Participating in arts, crafts, fitness classes, or community events Visiting libraries, museums, and local businesses Participating in volunteer activities with local nonprofit organizations and community partners Encouraging independence, confidence, social skills, and personal growth Safely transporting individuals to and from community activities Creating meaningful experiences while building lasting relationships We're Looking for Someone Who Is: Friendly, compassionate, and patient Reliable and dependable Energetic and enjoys staying active Creative and enjoys planning activities A positive role model A great communicator and team player Passionate about helping people reach their fullest potential Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid Virginia driver's license with a good driving record Ability to pass a criminal background check and other required screenings Ability to safely transport individuals in agency vehicles Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not required—we provide training!
