Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview Has principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. Plans, provides, and documents discharge planning, teaching and educates patients, family or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assures that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel. Assures quality nursing care of patients and fills education, consultant, and liaison rotes within nursing and for other nurses and for other departments. Responsibilities Provide total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for each assigned patient. Ensure the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through supervision of subordinate personnel. Assure quality nursing care of patients and fulfill education, consultant, and liaison roles within nursing and for other nurses and for other departments. Job Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Personal Job-Related Skills Demonstrated ability in nursing practice. Leadership and management abilities Effective oral and written communication skills. Computer skills / knowledge Licensure, Registry or Certification Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas. BCLS required and ACLS preferred. Current CPR Certification Prior Work Experience Must have Emergency Room experience One year experience as a professional Registered Nurse preferred.
