Oracle Financials Functional Consultant

Oracle Cloud ERP Functional Specialist Employment type: Contract w2/1099/C2C Responsibilities The business system analyst is responsible for solving business problems, business architecture, process optimization, business rules, business cases, business requirements, organizational change (communications), and UAT. Requires 7+ years of experience. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Undergoes business process requirements analysis for Oracle Cloud ERP and related applications. Collaborates with internal departments and external resources to plan, design, and implement financial system solutions. Researches and recommends changes for new business solutions based on current state analysis. Performs knowledge transfer of business requirements to application developers. Gives cogent arguments recommending courses of action. Scours large amounts of information to find salient business points and identifies changing business patterns. Translates business wants into IT requirements and functional design specifications. Builds trust between business and IT teams. Assists in identifying and implementing software solutions. Provides application support for business users. Writes conversion, interface, reports, and extension functional design specifications. Supports data cleanup, data conversion, and reconciliation activities. Supports month‑end and year‑end activities, including reconciliation. Reviews design specifications developed by other analysts and provides design feedback. Writes white papers and solution recommendations as needed. Supports testing and conducts training. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity, operation time, and desired outcomes. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into system requirement specifications. Qualifications 7+ years of Business Analyst experience. 7+ years of Software Development Lifecycle experience. 7+ years of requirements gathering and documentation experience. 7+ years of MS Word/Visio/Excel/PowerPoint experience. 7+ years of Oracle Financials EBS/Cloud Suite experience. 7+ years as an Oracle Functional Subject Matter Expert/SME. 7+ years of month‑end and year‑end closing and reconciliation experience. 3+ years of production support for Oracle EBS/Cloud applications (highly desirable). 3+ years of Oracle ERP Cloud General Ledger modules. Expertise within the Oracle Cloud ERP suite, especially General Ledger and Budgetary Control. Experience with Public Sector implementations (highly desirable). Education Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field. Or equivalent combination of education and 10 years of successful work experience.
