Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Innovation Lab Engineer to support technology innovation initiatives within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, systems administration, endpoint technologies, and virtualization , along with broad technical knowledge and a passion for exploring emerging technologies.

This role will support an innovation lab that provides isolated virtual environments for evaluating new technologies, conducting proof-of-concept (POC) testing, and assessing potential enterprise solutions.

The successful candidate should be a technology generalist who can work across multiple platforms, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and collaborate with business, architecture, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain innovation lab environments used for technology evaluation, experimentation, and proof-of-concept testing.
• Partner with project managers, business teams, and engineers to understand technical requirements and provide appropriate lab solutions.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android environments.
• Support cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMware, and Hyper-V.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues involving networking, connectivity, proxy services, identity management, operating systems, and platform integrations.
• Support Kubernetes, containers, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Assist with evaluating emerging technologies, enterprise SaaS platforms, and AI/ML solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, architects, vendors, and project teams on platform improvements and technology integrations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, operational procedures, and service standards.
• Provide technical guidance to internal customers regarding lab capabilities, supported technologies, and platform limitations.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, Lab Engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure administration, troubleshooting, and enterprise technology environments.
• Experience supporting Windows, Linux, macOS, and endpoint technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or multi-cloud environments.
• Understanding of networking, compute, storage, identity management, access controls, and infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, container technologies, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience supporting enterprise on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams to translate technical requirements into solutions.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies, innovation, and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting innovation labs, sandbox environments, proof-of-concept programs, or pre-production testing platforms.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or infrastructure automation tools.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms and emerging enterprise technologies.
• Experience with enterprise networking, proxy services, endpoint management, secure connectivity, and identity platforms.
• Experience evaluating and integrating new technologies in collaboration with vendors and technical teams.
• Cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, endpoint management, or security certifications.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Important: This is primarily an Infrastructure / Cloud / Innovation Lab Engineering role , not a traditional Software Development, DevOps, SRE, CI/CD, or Application Support position. Candidates with strong hands-on infrastructure experience and broad technical expertise will be prioritized.
