Job TitleHeavy Civil, Roadway or Bridge ProjectsJob DescriptionYou must pass a background check for this position; it will be on a military base.Qualified applicants will have experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway or Bridge Projects. Applicant must be familiar with working from heights and/or Manlifts. Must be able to work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Erect scaffolding, safety barricades, and temporary ladders or framework for elevated and below-ground operations.Read and interpret project plans, sketches, and specifications to determine exact dimensions and material requirements.Repair or replace damaged timber, steel, or concrete support structures on existing infrastructureOtherUnderstand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.CompetenciesDetail orientedStress Management/Composure.Process-drivenTeamwork orientationSupervisory RequirementsThis position has supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis is field field-based role. Employees will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.Physical DemandsThe position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position.
