Commissary Kitchen- Production Assistant

Commissary Kitchen Team MemberOur Commissary Kitchen team is responsible for the preparation and production of high-quality food items that support multiple Sahm's locations. This role focuses less on line cooking and more on batch prep, organization, consistency, and production efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.In this role, you will be focused on:Preparing large batches of food items according to company recipes and production standards.Portioning, labeling, packaging, and organizing prepared food products for distribution.Maintaining food quality, consistency, and freshness standards across all production items.Assisting with inventory organization, stock rotation, and ingredient prep.Operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, prep stations, and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment while following all food safety procedures.Supporting the kitchen team with daily production goals and timelines.Assisting with receiving deliveries and organizing storage areas including coolers and dry storage.Qualifications & Requirements:Ability to work in a fast-paced production kitchen environment.Strong attention to detail and consistency.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Reliable attendance and punctuality.Ability to communicate effectively with the kitchen and leadership team.At least 18 years of age preferred.Preferred Skills:Previous kitchen prep, commissary, catering, bakery, or food production experience.Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.Experience working with batch recipes or high-volume food preparation.Benefits:Full-time employees may be eligible for:Medical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid Time OffEmployee discountsGrowth opportunities within Sahm's Hospitality Group
