Contract Critical Access RN Manager

The Contract Critical Access RN Manager leads nursing staff on a 13-week assignment near Billings, Montana, overseeing ER, Med/Surg, and LTC care to ensure patient safety and operational excellence. The role involves supervising daily activities, coordinating float assignments, and maintaining compliance with state nursing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead nursing staff in Emergency, Med/Surg, and Long-Term Care settings
• Supervise daily activities and enforce hospital policies
• Coordinate float assignments across departments as needed
• Monitor patient progress, document assessments, and update records promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design individualized care plans
• Ensure effective communication across departments
• Maintain compliance with state board regulations and licensing requirements
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse license in good standing with applicable state board
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in ER, Med/Surg, and LTC settings
• Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience in nursing
• Valid BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per week, including weekends and nights
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to float between departments as required
• Physical capability to perform nursing duties

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
