The RE-1 Valley School District seeks a dedicated and compassionate Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support speech and language services for students. The SLPA works under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist to assist in providing therapy services that support student communication development and academic success. This position plays an important role in helping students strengthen speech, language, and communication skills in a supportive educational environment. Reports To Director of Student Services and Building Principals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with professionals to observe, plan, implement, monitor, and facilitate the generalization of oral and written communication skills Use research‑based and technically sound practices to drive decision‑making and interventions, and collaborate with school personnel to develop and modify student intervention strategies Use a variety of service delivery options and evidence‑based practices and facilitate generalization of communication skills Manage time, organize material, and communicate with school teams and administrators to effectively manage individual student programs; engage in problem‑solving processes with school‑based teams Monitor individual progress toward measurable goals and objectives Share knowledge with individuals and groups concerning communication, language, and literacy development Advocate for the individual’s communication needs across a variety of settings Develop and/or participate in professional enrichment activities to maintain a high standard of service delivery Participate in or utilize specialized services to provide better programming for individuals with complex needs Comply with Student Support Services and district policies and procedures (e.g., accident reporting) Provide direct and indirect interventions/therapy to students according to their special education Individualized Education Program (IEPs) Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or a closely related field Eligible for or holding a Colorado Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) authorization Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist Benefits Employer‑paid health insurance Optional dental and vision insurance Supplemental Life Insurance Flexible Spending Plans Retirement Savings Plans Equal Employment Opportunity Statement RE‑1 Valley School District is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
