HVAC Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with residential, commercial, or industrial HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot heating and cooling system problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Install and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, boilers, and ventilation systems.
- Inspect electrical components, wiring, thermostats, motors, compressors, and controls.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and leak detection in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Use HVAC diagnostic tools, meters, gauges, and hand/power tools.
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and safety.
- Identify worn or defective components and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate service records and document work performed.
- Follow company safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable HVAC codes.
- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other technicians.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC technician experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical controls, refrigeration, and mechanical components.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment.
- EPA 608 certification required or preferred, depending on position.
- HVAC certification or technical training is a plus.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and physically demanding environments.
