Montessori School Administrator/Director

About the Role

Lakewood Montessori School is looking for an organized, people-centered administrator to keep our school running smoothly behind the scenes — so our teachers can focus on what they do best. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing operations, compliance, and family communication in a warm, mission-driven environment.

What You'll Do

- Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate staff scheduling and coverage

- Serve as the main point of contact for parent inquiries, emails, and school communications

- Manage child registrations, enrollment records, and program documentation

- Maintain state licensing compliance, including policy reviews and required reporting

- Coordinate staff meetings, prepare board reports, and administer employee benefits

- Support the full employee lifecycle — hiring, onboarding, contract renewals, and personnel records

- Keep the facility running smoothly by coordinating maintenance, supplies, and seasonal operational needs

What You Bring

- An active Texas Child-Care Administrator License credential

- Experience in early childhood education and a genuine care for young children

- Administrative or operations experience in a professional setting

- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new software

- The ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion

- Physical ability to lift objects or carry children up to 40 pounds

- Flexibility with working hours
