About the Position

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: NICU/PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital setting License: Current RRT license Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: Candidates must possess BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience. Description: This position involves providing treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases. Therapists utilize advanced technologies, medication delivery systems, and various respiratory equipment. The unit is staffed with a Director, Manager, a Supervisor/charge therapist per shift, and regular staff. The type of equipment used includes high flow devices, nebulizers, and nitric oxide systems. Documentation is managed through a specific electronic health record system. There may be opportunities to provide coverage for adult floors for nebulizer therapy and BIPAP. Candidates will be considered first if they have prior experience with the electronic health record system. Current experience in NICU/PICU is required. The ideal personality fit includes being a team player, critical thinker, and adaptable to change. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative with a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Required uniform for this position is light gray.
