Position Overview

Link Mind Counseling Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to become an integral part of our outpatient treatment team in San Antonio, Texas. This full-time position, executed in a remote setting, supports our mission to empower teens and young adults facing mental health challenges.

Work Environment

Our outpatient office embraces a fast-paced, startup spirit while maintaining a focus on quality care. This remote position allows for flexibility while encouraging teamwork and collaboration among team members. We are dedicated to providing evidence-based and holistic treatment programs tailored to the individual needs of our clients aged 18 to 30. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Link Mind, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Group Therapy: Lead engaging and meaningful group sessions that foster connections among clients. Assist them in sharing their experiences and learning from one another in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Providing Individual Therapy: Conduct personalized and empathetic counseling sessions. Help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while developing tailored coping strategies and action plans.
  • Co-developing Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that align with their unique needs and aspirations.
  • Monitoring Progress: Track and assess clients’ progress using evidence-based assessment tools and client feedback. Provide regular updates and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure cohesive care. Regularly communicate with team members to consult on cases and coordinate client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on serving teenagers and young adults aged 18 to 30 who are navigating various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues. Our treatment programs are structured to meet clients where they are in their journey, providing evidence-based interventions and support tailored to their specific requirements.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • A commitment to professional development and a passion for improving mental health outcomes for young adults.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience is highly valued:

  • Two or more years of clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults in an outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
  • Experience in case management and coordinating care with multiple providers.
