Outreach and Compliance Coordinator

Modern Times, Inc. (MTI) is seeking a motivated and well-rounded Outreach & Compliance Coordinator to support our West Coast projects. This hybrid role is based in Los Angeles Metropolitan area, and candidates must be located within a commutable distance to Los Angeles County . In this role, you will support the implementation of Local and Targeted Hire Programs on large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and transit systems. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable engaging with community members at outreach events and working with data, reporting, and compliance tracking. Key Responsibilities Reporting (60%) Learn and apply labor and workforce program requirements Attend jobsite safety meetings to collect worker documentation and forms Gather documentation for Disadvantaged Worker verification Track and analyze workforce participation and craft worker hours Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance reports Present updates to clients, project owners, and agencies Maintain accurate records using Excel and cloud-based systems Proficient in Excel and working with large datasets. Attend outreach events, job fairs, and community meetings Engage with potential candidates and provide program information Coordinate with community partners and workforce agencies Log outreach activities, contacts, and materials into the database Follow up with candidates to support onboarding and documentation Ad Hoc (10%) Assist with internal and external reporting needs Help develop newsletters and project communication materials What We’re Looking For Outgoing and approachable, with strong interpersonal skills Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Comfortable working with Excel, databases, and large datasets Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be located within commuting distance to the Los Angeles area Ability to reliably travel to project sites and outreach events (public or personal transportation) Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced project environment Bilingual in Spanish is preferred Experience in workforce development or community programs is a plus, but not required Work Arrangement This is a hybrid position , combining remote work with required in-person attendance for meetings, jobsite coordination, and outreach events throughout Los Angeles County.
